Giving

Our funding priority every year is scholarship.  Nearly all our families require tuition assistance to be able to send their children to St. Angela and since we operate without the benefit of the support of a parish we rely on your charitable giving to meet those scholarship needs.  Our next priority is program enhancement.  It is challenging to find, within the operating budget, the resources necessary to make continued investment in technology, professional development and classroom renovation.  Gifts for program enhancement allow the principal the opportunity to continue to build something great at St. Angela!  Our third funding priority is for capital needs.  Even without tackling major projects St. Angela invests in the school building to maintain high health and safety standards.

Donations to help meet these funding goals may be directed into named funds or given to the St. Angela General Fund and used at the discretion of school leadership to address the most pressing need.

Special Named Funding Programs

Alumna Taylor Williams, Class of 2012, died suddenly in 2016.  Because of Taylor's love for St. Angela School her family has established the Taylor Williams Scholarship Fund in her memory.  Taylor, who would have turned 21 on November 30, 2018, lives in our hearts and the hearts of the many people who loved her and cherish her memory.  To contribute to the fund named for Taylor, please click on her image.

Alumni from the early 1980s, led by Patty Dassinger Henek ('81), siblings and friends, invite you to become one of the Grads Giving Back to St. Angela.  The Grads initial goal is to raise $3,000 for continued development of outdoor play and garden space, aka Green Dreams.   Your donation will be held in a special fund, one which will be used on a Green Dream project, as a collective class gift from the 80s grads to future classes.  Questions?  Please contact Patty at pattyhenek@gmail.com.  No questions?  Just donate here.

The Jack and Marty Jordan Fund has been established to honor the beloved memory of Jack (’38) and Marty (‘77) Jordan and to enhance student life at St. Angela School by funding athletic and other enrichment programs.  Individual gifts and proceeds from the annual Marty Jordan Memorial Bowling bash in February benefit the fund, which is administered by the principal with the guidance of the school board and input from the Jordan family.  St. Angela is extremely grateful to the Jordan family for their passionate belief in St. Angela.

The Patrick Mahoney Charitable Fund to Benefit St. Angela School is our main platform for gifts for scholarship for our students; it also provides funding to enhance programs and facilities for St. Angela.  The fund is named for our dear friend and benefactor, Pat Mahoney, who passed away in March 2015.  Our funding guide describes specifics about gifts to the Patrick Mahoney Fund.

Principal Mary Kay O'Rourke had not had time to build her vision for a unique structure for the junior high at St. Angela when she passed away in August 2011.  In her memory, the Mary Kay O'Rourke Fund has been established to support that vision, now a reality in the form of O'Rourke Prep.  Your donation to this fund honors Ms. O's leadership in our community and helps the scholars in sixth, seventh and eighth grade benefit from our continued investment in their extraordinary program.

The funding guide  has details about some of this work and how much it will cost.

Please note:  St. Angela School cannot accept gifts that are restricted to a purpose other than one in keeping with the school's funding priorities.  For more information regarding the designation of a gift to a specific project, contact the Advancement Office.
