Welcome to St. Angela School!

St. Angela School is a Catholic-Christian school dedicated to providing a quality education for all students.  Our goal is that our scholars learn to be successful at St. Angela, in the high school of their choice, and beyond; and that they learn to be active citizens and leaders in our community and the world.  Dream, Prepare, and Achieve!

Historic Accord Secures SAS Future

St. Angel is among thirty schools that will benefit from an agreement between Big Should and the Archdiocese of Chicago, under which Big Shoulders will play a larger role in the school's future.  School teachers and employees will still be employees of the Office of Catholic Schools  (OCS) of the Archdiocese,

and OCS will still be responsible for the accreditation of the school.  The difference will be in the school's funding and it should make a tremendous difference in St. Angela's future.  Principal Bruce Schooler says, "This is wonderful news for us and for our school families.  It is going to give us more time to make the changes we are planning--changes that will help us better serve our scholars and it means we'll be able to continue to offer our families generous tuition assistance."

Lynn Fredrick, director of advancement for St. Angela, agrees.  "Big Shoulders' commitment to us does not mean we need our donors less; it means that donor support is going to go farther--reach more children."   To learn more about the arrangement, please follow this link to a story that appeared recently in the Austin Weekly News.
