From the President

Dear Friends,

I've had the great joy of being part of the St. Angela School community since 1993 and take enormous pleasure in continuing my role as a counselor to our scholars on a daily basis.

Many people, hearing that the parish of St. Angela closed in 2006, assume that the school closed as well.  We did not close but rather became stronger in our resolve to remain a powerful force for Catholic Christian education in the Austin neighborhood.  We have enjoyed the tremendous support of a group of extraordinary benefactors in the last ten years.  Benefactors who believed in us and brought an ever larger circle of friends into the St. Angela family.  With their support, with strong leadership, increased enrollment and a shared vision for what we might be, we are changing human lives.

This is who we are at St. Angela:  a community of life-long learners, faculty and scholars alike;  a family of individuals committed to the precepts of Catholic social justice; and a school determined that our scholars will leave us as compassionate, responsible young men and women eager to take up the challenges they will face.

Join us in our work!

Sr. Maryellen Callahan, RSM
